"Potty Training: A gentle and primeval method adapted to modern living." by Laurie Boucke

So glad I didn't have to buy that book and use that method whatever it is.  We did however try a billion other methods to potty train Nikolai.  All to no avail.  He just wasn't interested. Sometimes he would pee but he was afraid of pooping (sorry if that's too much info).  So I gave up and figured we'd do it again later - like when he was 10.  Well, about a week 1/2 ago he tells me one day that he needs to go potty.  He goes into the bathroom, does his business and he's been doing it ever since.  He had one or 2 acccidents the first day or two but now he's a little pro.  And I knew we'd passed a hurdle when he used the Barnes and Noble restroom without a problem.  Who knew it could be so easy -- I'm totally going to write a book -- the they might eventually do it themselves method.  Yeah, now I only have to change one bum instead of two.  :)

Isn't it liberating to only have one bum to change every day! Addy is now potty trained as well! It is so great.

Attalie was the same way with doing No. 2... interesting! She also just basically trained herself. That really is the best way.

My little guy will be 2 in a couple of months. People keep asking me about potty training. But I think I will stick to your method. He can tell me when HE is ready. Glad you are down to one in diapers!! HOORAY!
